PayPal Donate Button Alternative

July 21, 2020
A lot of nonprofits and churches have started using MoonClerk’s payment system for their recurring donations and one-time donations. Many of these nonprofits and churches have previously been using PayPal and the standard PayPal Donate button to create a link from their websites, fundraising sites, blogs, or emails straight to their PayPal donate page. With so many of these organizations switching over to MoonClerk, we’ve been receiving more and more requests from our customers to make it even easier to implement a donate button. So, we’re now pleased to offer our own MoonClerk alternative to the PayPal Donate button.
By using our PayPal Donate button alternative, you’ll be able to easily place a blue donate button on your site without having to do any design work or programming. When one of your donors clicks on the MoonClerk donate button, they’ll automatically be directed to the corresponding MoonClerk payment form that you’ve created.
Here’s what the button looks like:
This MoonClerk donate button should work on any website or blog and work with most modern web builders and CMS’s (Content Management Systems) such as WordPress, SquareSpace, Virb, Tumblr, Weebly, Wix, etc.
You can read the instructions on how to implement our PayPal Donate button alternative in our Help section article but we’ve also created this quick tutorial video to show you how to place it on your website. In this video we use the SquareSpace CMS as the example website builder.
If you’re a nonprofit and you’re not currently using MoonClerk, we’d love for you to learn more about how we can help you accept donations online. If you’re a church and not currently using MoonClerk, you can also read about how MoonClerk helps with online giving for churches.
