New Feature - Set Specific Start Dates for Recurring Plans

In the past, for recurring plans, we’ve offered the ability to charge a payers card:
- Immediately at checkout
- On a set day of the month (1-31) or week (Sun. – Sat.)
- X number of days after checkout (trial period)
- Or you could let the payer decide.
We’ve now added the ability for you to set a specific date in the future to begin recurring plans (eg. July 23, 2015)
So, for example, let’s say today’s date is Oct. 15, 2014 and you want to start all recurring plans on Jan. 1, 2015, when you create your payment form, you can set the start date to Jan. 1, 2015. If anyone checks out between today’s date of Oct. 15 and Jan. 1, their first payment will occur on Jan. 1. After Jan. 1, the payment form will be disabled. However, you can always go into the form and edit it to set a new start date in the future. Or, you could create a new form.
We’ve had some customers who have recurring plans that recur every 3 months and they have wanted to sync all of their customers up so that they are all charged on the same date. This feature will allow these customers to do just that by setting a specific date on a form, then going into the form as soon as that date has passed and re-setting the date in the future again.
We’ve added an article in our Help section to show you how to set a specific start date for recurring plans.
